thanks for the support peter. when i here this show is a go i will have to make arrangements to come down to LA and immerse myself in the land of the RED. I have used the red one a couple of times but don't know much about the workflow/fcp etc

hi peter, thanks for the pictures, i´m sitting on nails more than before ;-) after i have seen the fotos. my interest is focused on the scarlet with the fixed lens, but looking on the pictures of the fixed lens scarlet makes me a litte confused. i thought it will be a 8x lens on the scarlet, but on the lens on the fotos i can only see one control. is it for focus, for zoom, or for iris? i would expect 3 control rings for a 8x lens...

As with many prosumer style fixed lens cameras, the manual control is focus. Zoom and iris are internal servo control only.
