What firmware features would everyone like to see? Here are a bunch of things that I would like. I haven't tried to prioritize; I'm just throwing them out to see what everyone else thinks:

- RGB parade for checking exposure and white balance
- Adjustable zebra
- Adjustable aspect guides (darkened outside the frame)
- Ability to zoom the monitor in on any part of the image to assist with focusing
- Fast (<5 sec) boot time
- Ability to save a still image (from live or recorded video) to a "clipboard", and quickly switch between the live view and the clipboard image to check continuity
- Preroll to record a few seconds before the record button is pressed
- Compression and/or resolution modes that go down to about 5 MB/sec for 24p (for longer record time, longer preroll, higher framerates on slow (<40 MB/sec) cards, etc.)
- Metadata that records all settings (zoom, exposure, focus distance, etc.)

That is a great list, Chris! I second all of your requests, and highly emphasize the ability to zoom in 1:1 on the LCD for critical focusing.

Also:

- The red outline on the focus assist should be customizable, so you can make the red outline as thick or as thin as you prefer.

- Programmable focus racks.

Jaime, I guess you and I are the only ones that care if the firmware has any features. Interesting.
