Since we still don't have a dedicated accessories sub-forum (Jason? :furious3: - kidding) I am posting this here:
If You are the DIY type and are looking for some great tutorials and advice, I would recommend You start with this website:
http://www.rondexter.com/
I have used many of the articles to build upon and create our own gear and accessories...
This should keep most busy while waiting for Scarlet...

I really like the book Killer Camera Rigs You Can Build (http://www.dvcamerarigs.com/) (I've been known to give it as a gift). Even if you don't think of yourself as a DIY'er each project has a shopping and tools list with photo-illustrated step-by-step instructions so it's practically impossible to screw up.

Home Built Stabilizers (http://www.homebuiltstabilizers.com)
I have been a member of that forum for a while and there are a number of projects there.

I've used both the "Killer Cam" and "Home Built Stabilizers" both great. Killer Cam is a bit Eve Robinson (ie. slap dash) but the ideas and there and can easily be adapted for something more professional looking.
I've had to enlist help from friends working in production engineers for the Home Built stabilizers. its not in working order at the moment and i would like to start again.
Has anyone used or heard about Basson and the quality of the gear?
