Hey everyone.

New to the forums here but I've been following RED for a few months now.

Just out of curiousity... How can we expect the Scarlet 2/3 fixed to handle low light situations?

I have a sony HDV camcorder with a 1/2.9 inch CMOS sensor... I absolutely hate it in low light. Hopefully the Scarlet 2/3 will outperform that by a significant margin? I would imagine the larger sensor would help, but I figure at the same time all of the added resolution may make it just as cumbersome in low light as a 1/3 inch chip. I don't know if it would, but I'm just taking a stab in the dark really. ;)

Anyway, I can't wait for the Scarlet to be released, it has gotten me really excited to be able to shoot in something higher than HD for around $4,000.

Hah.. sorry, I just realized there is a thread for something similar to this. I knew I would do something stupid like that. (and to answer your question...from a moderate distance I guess. Just checking every now and again.)

...especially since they don't know what I am thinking when I type those kind of responses. :)

Only when people resurrect the dead threads and people say I am cool for some reason. :D
