For interior day/night Would my best bet for image quality be using some fluro's and a couple cri lights? I was looking at some of them on coollights i'm wondering if this would be a better route than tungsten...

It depends what look you are trying to achieve. If you are trying to create a soft, clean evenly dispersed, natural lighting style then fluorescents certainly create this. If balanced correctly then tungsten will create a similar look.

Fluorescents are excellent for a cool set and for soft natural modelling. However the same effects can be created with some chinese lanterns or some tungstens diffused through screens like buttelflies.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Tungstens consume more power than Fluros I guess? Here in our side of the world, electric power is never available and so if cool soft pics can be got through the Fluros, so be it as its damn cheaper to provide source power to them than Tungstens
