I have been working with some of the sample footage found on reduser forum. I have been able to get some of the footage to load on my pc so that I am able to view the footage. I have not been able to export any of it to any usable format for adobe prem. pro on windows xp pro.

My system specs are as follows:
DIY PC
Intel D945GCCR Motherboard
Pentium D 3.00GHZ CPU
2Gigs of Memory
Windows XP, Service Pack 3
Onboard 82945G Express Chipset Family

I do realize that my present graphics card needs to upgraded. My e-GeForce 7300 GT has issues. :head_explode: Which is another story all together. If any one else has a suggestion on what I could do to help improve the performance or get a format I can use in to premiere pro. Just don't say more RAM. My Motherboard can only hold 2GB. So I will upgrade to another MoBo when that time comes.

How are you viewing it at all? REDCine? There are threads about the PC workflow on Reduser, have you tried those?

Your Geforce 7300 shouldn't affect the performance of PPro so I wouldn't really bother upgrading it unless you're getting artifacts or something.

Sorry about that. Yes I am using Redcine.

I've been editing unencoded 1k AVIs I pulled from REDCine in Premiere Pro on a laptop of a friend which is slower than your PC (pentium 2.2GHz I believe), and have had loads of fun with 720p proxies I encoded in Blackmagic MJPEG (I have a BMD card) on my own PC - they actually lead to less system load than HDV 720p clips, so I guess that even though my own workstation I edited those clips on is faster than yours, if you're okay editing HDV, you should be okay editing lo-res proxies like the above.
However, the greatest resolution I've ever managed fluid playback in was 2k (on an overclocked, that is, 2.6GHz Intel Core 2 Duo system), so if you want to edit anywhere beyond HD, you really should consider upgrading your system.

Maybe there's AVI output in the REDCINE on Windows? On the Mac there certainly isn't one...

Well I have not tried 1K and I have not seen any AVI settings. I will look again. Hopefully I won't have to do too many upgrades to get this to work properly.
