First time using film. We had Super 8 B+W Kodak Tri-X Reversal film. (Kodak #7266) For my Film Styles class.

It was a scary experience, first time with film, and a light meter. Luckily only a few shots came out badly.

Oh and we had to edit in-camera, so there was a lot of re-setting up lights and re-metering and a few jump-cuts.

It was a great experience, and its true what people say, there is something magical about Super 8.

The actors were just my friends, so don't expect anything, lol.

Already I can't wait to work with it again and get better at it, I might have to look into getting a Super 8 camera...

Was this video (http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=h3-zV_H1E4k) shot on 8mm or is it fake? If it's fake I think they faked it pretty well. I liked how the overall look of the footage fits the song.

I love super 8!

Which camera did you use? I use a Canon AutoZoom 518

I love the depth of field on this piece!

I've been shooting with the same film you used on the past 3 projects I've worked on. Its a fun experience and I do like the look. Only downside is not knowing if your film is going to turn out and expense. I'll post my last short on here when i finish editing it.

How is the 518? After working with super 8, I am looking into some super 8 cams. I really liked the 814, easy to use, and simple. Any other ones I should look at?
