Hey guys I am planning on purchasing a Scarlet when it comes out but I must admit I have no idea what I would need as far as an external hard-drive. I have the 17 inch macbook pro and i also have final cut pro so i'm good on that front but since i've used a PC my whole life and only switched to Mac in the last few months I have no idea if I there is a different kind of hard-drive or maybe certain kinds that are better for storing footage and whatnot. If someone could maybe give a me a link to an external hard-drive they would recommend or have themselves I would appreciate it. By the way I am willing to spend the money for a good one so if anyone could help that'd me nice.
Thanks in advance.

If you're going completely portable you should consider using a Firewire 800 or eSATA casing with a 7200RMP SATA 2.5" hard drive. This website http://www.macpower.com.tw/ has a list of different products you might consider. Then just hunt for that product on the rest of the net, prices may vary, as well as what's even available. I'm using a combination of eSata and Firewire 400 casings altogether with an eSATA expresscard that is slotted in on the side of my 15" Macbook Pro. Works perfect and gives me nice speeds. Do let me know if you need more suggestions.
